Sukin Skincare Review

I love trying new products and when the oppurtunity to trial products from a skincare range I’ve already eperienced great results with, it’s icing on the already yummy cake. Sukin is a brand that has long lingered in my beauty cabinet in the form of night creams, cleansers and masques and why you ask? Well, a quote from their website says it all;

Sukin products do not contain a myriad of harsh chemicals used in many products on the market today including sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium laureth sulphate, synthetic fragrances, animal derivatives, harsh detergents, propylene glycol, artificial colours, triethanolamine, mineral oils, EDTA or parabens. Sukin maintain a strong stance on the environment and sustainability and have been certified as 100% Carbon Neutral, Cruelty Free, and Vegan for many years now, with all formulations being biodegradable and grey water safe in addition.

So with that, I’ll get straight into my review of a handful of Sukin goodies!

Purifying Facial Masque

A clay mask combined with rose hip oil and aloe vera for just $12.76 AUD online – say what? I use this mask in between my hydrating facial masks, mainly on my t-zone as that’s my problem area, and breakouts + imperfections be gone! Oh and if you’re a glasses wearer who suffers from occasional blemishes on the bridge of your nose like me, my hot tip is to use this weekly to prevent any further from appearing ….

Moisture Restoring Night Cream

I go between this night cream and various other ones so often, but this is always the one I will pick up at the chemist or Priceline store. I have such dry skin and often need to mix night creams with an oil to give me the needed hydration, but this one works so good for my skin just on it’s own, thanks to the inclusion of rose hip, evening primrose and borage oils!

Oil Balancing Pore Refining Scrub

Charcoal is all the rage right now and with so many benefits, it’s no surprise why. I’ve used a charcoal + tumeric toothpaste, a charcoal based face mask and now, a facial scrub. The mix of charcoal, jojoba beads and moringa extract, exfoliate the skin and clear pores of any dirt + impurities. I use this every second night on my slightly reactive skin – breakouts are at bay!

Energising Body Scrub

If you find the popular coffee body scrubs harsh on your sensitive skin, I suggest you give this gem a try. As soon as I opened the jar, the jaffa-like chocolatey scent filled my bathroom and without aggressive scrubbing, gave my skin a hydrated smooth feel and even the husband noticed! The coffee extracts and coconut shell combination, along with the coconut + jojoba oils are to thank for this #sukinscore.

Oil Balancing Clarifying Facial Tonic

Compared to a regular toner, this facial toner really packs a punch! Giving skin the post-cleanse balance + refinement it needs, thanks to ingredients such as white tea extract, coconut extract in addition to chamomile, aloe vera and cucumber – this product is especially great for those with skin on the oilier side.

    I have been a fan of this range of skincare for many years and as much as I try I cannot go past their Cream Cleanser, it is gentle on my skin and works a treat and now that I double team it with their Micellar Cleansing Water, I am having less breakouts!
