what i've cooked recently

So I’m officially in my Martha Stewart era, cooking up a storm every time I get the chance. Let’s face it, it’s usually a weekend thing because I’m tired on school nights but I do make time for cooking as often as possible.

A big shout-out to Andy Cooks who is our absolute favourite Youtuber right now, although I do also enjoy watching Brian Lagerstrom and of course, Alison Roman’s back catalogue.

Some recent highlights of our eats lately include:

• A squid ink linguine with creamy pepper-cheesy prawn sauce
• Breakfast calzone with home-made pastry stuffed with egg and chorizo
• Puff pastry pies filled with chicken mince, a sweet mushroom gravy and topped with creamy mashed potato
• A sourdough grain cob loaf filled with bacon, chorizo and cheese
• And of course, a classic bread loaf with various toppings - a firm favourite is white onion, mozzarella and a sprinkling of sesame seeds!
